LaserPerformance Warranty Policy

 

LaserPerformance LTDA (LP) warrants to the original consumer purchaser of a new and unused sailboat hull manufactured by, or for LP to be free from any manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when used under normal conditions during the 12 months following the original purchase.

 

LP obligations under this Limited Warranty are limited to supplying the part or parts and labor for the repair, or, at its sole discretion, replacement of any part or parts that are found to be defective.

Limited Warranty claims may be required to deliver the hulls to the nearest authorized location at customer or dealer expense for repair or replacement.  If, LP arranges for a technician to visit the Customer’s site to repair or replace the defective products, Customer will not be responsible for any charge in relation to on-site technician time actually involved in performing the repair or replacement of such Defect goods. All warranty repairs or replacements are subject to prior authorization by LP, and all decisions regarding warranty claims are the sole responsibility of and determination by LP. Unauthorized repairs to approved warranty boats or parts will not be compensated and will lead to loss of warranty coverage.

This Limited Warranty shall not apply to any sailboat which has been subject to misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, or repair made by any unauthorized person, or to any repair necessitated by normal wear and tear, accident, or negligence.

This warranty, together with any and all warranties implied by law, shall be limited to maximum duration of 12 months from the date of purchase by the original consumer purchaser of the sailboat, and is non-transferable.

The repair or replacement of defective products or goods during the warranty will extend the period of the warranty of such products equivalent to repair time.

Warranty Procedure

You may request warranty consideration by:

  1. Submission of the Customer Warranty Claim form on our Website. LP Customer Care will process the request and contact you for more information or a resolution.
  2. Presenting “Proof of Purchase” (Dealer Invoice or LaserPerformance Original Invoice), with the Hull Identification Number and personal identification to the authorized LaserPerformance dealer to validate the Warranty Period. The Dealer may then submit your application through the LP website.

All warranty submissions must use the Costumer Warranty Claim form.  Please note that without complete information, the claim will not be processed.
